Sourcing Category Manager

Robinson is looking to hire a Sourcing Category Manager In this role, you will identify sourcing and contracting opportunities while building strong stakeholder relationships and executing on cost savings initiatives. Responsibilities:

• Analyze spend information and business needs to build category plans and strategic sourcing activities
• Utilize understanding of existing contractual relationships to develop cost savings opportunities
• Develop and distribute Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotations (RFQs) and facilitates communications between stakeholders
• Evaluates proposals/quotes based on quality, cost, or other criteria and recommend suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements
• Work with key business stakeholders to identify and validate business requirements
• Develop negotiation strategies in partnership with the business for upcoming contracts
• Identify and pre-qualify potential suppliers, and objectively assess supplier capabilities
• Negotiate with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements
• Ensure that all procurement activities comply with internal policies
• Execute and update contracts for indirect purchases, including ownership of contract terms and conditions, as well as the legal ramifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in Sourcing and Procurement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Comprehensive knowledge of sourcing and contracting for indirect spend, including technology
• Demonstrated success negotiating favorable contractual business and legal terms
• Outstanding relationship building skills with an ability to work as part of a team and influence stakeholders
• Effective and flexible communication and presentation skills, including experience with leadership presentations
• Results-oriented, metrics-driven professional with expertise in purchasing, supplier collaboration, and contracting
• Ability to meet deadlines and make decisions in line with department goals
• Detail oriented with demonstrated analytical skills
• Ability to effectively implement changes in a large, matrixed organization
