Job Description

The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and tactics to effectively manage local sourcing for a center, basin or country portfolio to maximize supplier performance and support the business plan. The Sourcing Manager manages a team of Sourcing Specialists.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Create sourcing plans that secure supply and minimize supply chain disruptions, in accordance with category sourcing strategies.
  • Develop action plans, timelines and resource assignments for sourcing projects.
  • Direct a group of Sourcing Specialists to evaluate and select a high-performing supply base in accordance with a short-list of preferred suppliers defined by Category Managers.
  • Lead the request for information, quotation or proposal and bidding processes, minimizing risk and maximizing value in terms of quality, delivery and total cost of ownership.
  • Lead the supplier evaluation and selection processes in coordination with Quality standards and Supplier Managers.
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers to meet quality, delivery and cost objectives.
  • Lead the contracting process with suppliers in coordination with Sourcing Specialists and Supply Chain Contract Specialists.
  • Allocate product demand across suppliers and in line with the Global Category Strategy and the Global Supplier Management Strategy.
  • Monitor sourcing projects to assure on-time completion and guaranteed supply for all portfolios.
  • Build strong relationships with internal customers to meet objectives.
  • Deliver a top performing workforce.
  • Identify opportunities and implement actions to continuously reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Comply with Schlumberger and local procedures applicable to the job function.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing.
  • Preferred minimum experience of 5 years in Supply Chain.
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerBI and Data analytics.
  • Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship
