Big Ass Fans is seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to lead our sourcing team at our Lexington, KY headquarters. This candidate will be responsible for successfully leading our sourcing initiatives, developing strategic partnerships, and meeting sourcing key performance indicators.

Responsibilities

  • Champion for meeting sourcing department key performance indicators.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to commodity managers.
  • Ensure sourcing strategy aligns with business objectives.
  • Advanced Electronics, Circuit Board, Metals, Motors, Reducers Plastics, and contract manufacturing sourcing experience.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering on Make/Buy decisions for Operations.
  • Work closely with Quality and Safety leaders to understand supplier requirements and ensure partners meet those requirements.
  • Ensure all sourcing procedures are followed.
  • Lead team to source for total best cost - includes cost, inventory, logistics and service.
  • Develop yearly sourcing strategy with commodity managers.
  • Work closely with engineering to meet project objectives.
  • Support purchasing team objectives.
  • Act as an escalation point for Commodity Managers.
  • Ensure MRP systems and processes align with objectives.
  • Seek continuous improvement opportunities for sourcing.
  • Work closely with all Madison Industries teams on synergy opportunities.
  • Actively identify and resolve potential supply issues.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a relevant field
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, and product prints for all commodities sourced - Electronics, Metals, Motors, Reducers, Plastics
  • 5 years of experience in leading a sourcing team with strong strategy knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a commodity leader role
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Proven ability to deliver results, effectively build relationships both internal and external, and communicate well with all organizational levels
  • Earn others' trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
  • Take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and achieve results with little oversight
