Sourcing Representative

Position OverviewThe Sourcing Representative II will act as the liaison between the company and the vendor groups associated with the function.  The position will be responsible for contributing to the generation of gross profit for the company as well as maximizing the return on investments.  Responsible for ensuring purchase orders are properly maintained through collaborating with the vendors and various departments within the company and monitoring outstanding purchase orders to ensure gross profit is realized and customer service goals are met.

• Develop and maintain positive business relationships with vendors in an effort to seek and procure product available in the marketplace, while maximizing profit margins for the procured product and meeting department gross profit and vendor sales goals.
• Monitor delivery of orders through communication and collaboration with vendors and internal departments on a daily basis in order to maintain satisfactory customer service levels; troubleshoot vendor issues pertaining to items ordered, appointments, or warehouse receiving and collaborate with the appropriate internal resources to ensure issues are resolved.
• Analyze inventory levels, forecasting projections, and historical data using the inventory system and trading platform to determine needs and make purchasing decisions based on the analysis and the potential return on investment.
• Maintain data integrity on purchase orders by adjusting, expediting, or cancelling orders as requested by the vendor or internal departments.
• Review the opportunities from vendors via the trading platform and through phone communication; work cooperatively with vendors to negotiate price, quantity, and delivery requirements on potential opportunities.
• Work in unison with the merchandising team and solicit trades from vendors to maximize company gross profits and return on investment.
• Generate, analyze, and provide data reports that will monitor and assist in the improvement of the department's performance and goal achievement.
