Sourcing Specialist

CommScope is recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to join our growing team! This is a hybrid role. Candidates will be based within a commutable distance to Richardson, TX.

How You Will Make An Impact:

• Source direct materials (examples: electronics component; PCBAs, metal fabrications) with suppliers that can meet the service, quality and cost requirements.
• Partner closely with manufacturing site buyers throughout the sourcing process
• Coordinate with Design, R&D and component Engineering to identify new sources/suppliers of components for existing and new products, ensuring early DFM feedback from suppliers,
• Partner with cross functional teams to qualify new sources, working with CommScope manufacturing locations and CM (Contract Manufacturers) to onboard new suppliers.
• Work within NPI cross-functional project team playing a key part in the coordination and delivery of the New Product Development across the company.
• Conduct cost/price analysis for all products under their jurisdiction with emphasis on high dollar and sole source procurements. Establish negotiation strategies.
• Maintains positive working relationships with supplier base. Ensures that the Supplier KPI's governing quality, delivery and NPI performance are considered before deciding to source material from a particular vendor.
• - Ensures that all sourcing is based on negotiated competitive bids as submitted by qualified suppliers and in alignment with Should Cost targets (where available).

Required Qualifications For Consideration:

• 5+ years of procurement or related experience.
• Experience with 5+ major passive and active procurement categories/commodities

You Will Excite Us If You:

• Certification in the procurement area (like C.P.M. or CPIM)
• Bachelor's Degree
• ERP experience (SAP for example)
• 2+ years experience in the telecom/wireless industry
• Experience in purchasing technical commodities with close interfacing with engineering.
