Title: Sourcing Specialist
Business Unit: Global Procurement Vendor Management

Job Summary:
The Global Procurement and Vendor Management Team ("P&VM") is seeking a sourcing specialist to support the evolving demands surrounding third party providers to Barings. The ideal candidate will need to have broad procurement and vendor management knowledge across several areas. This role will operate as a generalist and will support the Category Managers, while working in unison with the Vendor Management Team. This role will handle contract negotiations and renewals reviews, vendor process and program support and run-off work coming from the team. The business contracts will include but are not limited to Professional Services, Investment Services, IT, and Market data services. The ideal candidate will work to ensure optimum contractual terms, as well as meet or exceed their contractual obligations by delivering products and services on time. The most successful candidate will have broad knowledge with sourcing of third-party suppliers, problem solving, analytical skills and cross-functional communication/relationship management strengths.
Primary Responsibilities:
This individual will support several aspects of sourcing and cost optimization projects. This individual will be expected to work closely with the category managers and key stakeholders across the firm to drive project initiatives.
In this capacity, this role will be responsible in:
- Contract negotiations & executions for assigned new and existing vendor relationships and renewals
- Contract analysis and consolidation, where appropriate
- Supporting Procurement Category Managers with providing sustainable support for new volume
- Collaborating and supporting critical objectives for the Vendor Management Team
- Liaise between category managers, business owners and vendors, as necessary
- Setting expectations on purchases/payments and executing on internal processes are as efficient as possible for all stakeholders
- Involvement with PO processes to ensure streamlined vendor purchases, when necessary
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Cyber Security, Privacy Compliance and other Business partners to manage volume
- Assist with ESG/Supplier diversity efforts
Qualifications:
- Robust interpersonal skills - self-aware, sound judgement, accountable, and empathetic
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, IT, Business Management, Finance or similar field preferred
- 2 to 3 plus years of experience in Procurement/Supply chain Management
- 2 to 3 plus years of Vendor Management experience
- 2 to 3 plus years of process improvement and analytics
- Strong written and communication skills
- ESG and supplier diversity experience a plus
