Vybe Restaurant and Lounge has rebranded itself as Chandler’s newest entertainment destination! A casual fine dining menu paired with delicious craft cocktails will be served with a show! We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our team. As our space continues to develop, creativity is a plus - but the desire to learn and help deliver an experience that exceeds expectations is even better. Sous Chef Job Requirements - Punctuality and a positive attitude gets your first foot in the door. - ** Maricopa County ServSafe is required to start working. - Provide the highest level of cleanliness consistent with kitchen standards. - Ensure kitchen team is hired, onboarded and trained appropriately. - Able to maximize purchasing power by creating and maintaining positive vendor relationships. - Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. - Clean up station and take care of leftover food. - Proper food handling as outlined by the Food Handlers Certification process. - Stock inventory properly using “FIFO”, and ensuring proper dating and labeling of items. - Ensure food dishes are finished simultaneously, with high quality and aesthetically pleasing. - Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers, vendors, and customers alike. - Create and maintain accurate Standards of Operations for all kitchen practices. - Basic understanding of P&L. - Optimizing labor costs according to budget. - Creation of menu items according to budgeted food cost. - Daily reporting on run of day activities and sales Sous Chef Skills Needed - Proven cooking experience including safe knife skills. - Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equiptment, and procedures. - Execute assigned tasks with accuracy and speed. - Familiarity with industry best practices. - Must be able to stand for long periods. - Must be able to lift up to 60lbs. - **Maricopa County Food Handler’s Cardis required to start working.
