Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Bilingual Spanish a plus! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in kitchen management, food preparation, and casual dining. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. Duties • Assist the Head Chef in menu ensuring that all dishes meet our quality standards. • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service. • Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling, and shift management. • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. • Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals during service periods. • Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring that all culinary needs are met. • Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels. • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Sous Chef. . • Experience with menu planning, food service management, and dietary department operations is highly desirable. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. • Proficient in cooking techniques, food production methods, and kitchen management practices. • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food products. • Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and management. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
