Sous Chef

Job Description: Are you passionate about cooking and making a difference in the lives of others? Our Senior Living community is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Sous Chef to help create delicious, nutritious meals for our residents! The Coves at River Garden is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. Key Responsibilities: • Assists in preparation and cooking of healthy high-quality meals. • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure smooth, efficient kitchen operations. • Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment following all health and safety regulations. • Collaborate with Dining Services Manager to develop clean and attractive menu choices. • Provide excellent service by ensuring that meals are served on time and to the highest standards. Qualifications: • Previous experience in a culinary role, with a preference for experience in senior living or healthcare foodservice. • Knowledge in Kosher food preparation a plus. • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. • Ability to lead and work as part of a team. • Compassionate and patient with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for members. • Culinary degree or equivalent experience is a plus!
