Position Summary
The SOX ITGC Compliance Manager will have primary responsibility for ensuring the effectiveness of all IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls related to Business Applications. The manager will act as the primary point of contact between IT and internal/external auditors to provide leadership in managing auditing activities, requests and developing responses to audit findings, leading to remediation of audit findings. The role will also work closely with accounting business partners to ensure that SOX controls that involve business systems are implemented and operating effectively.
- Manage ITGC SOX documentation, including control template documenting the key ITGC controls in all in-scope systems
- Participate in day-to-day management of IT general controls, including those to ensure change management processes and access controls are followed appropriately and all testing or approvals are obtained timely
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure compliance with day-to-day controls, including but not limited to: review of change management processes; review of access changes; and review of segregation of duties
- Collaborate with Business process owners to document relevant application controls in Business Applications.
- Perform testing of SOX IT controls (ITGCs, ITACs, IPE)
- Manage the SOC1 report process to ensure the reports are obtained timely from all service providers, and ensure the reports are assessed in a timely and accurate manner. Coordinate review of these assessments
Required Qualifications
- Minimum experience of seven years in internal or external auditing, with emphasis on IT auditing, preferably with a multi-national company or Big 4 accounting firm.
- Bachelor's degree is required in a related field, information systems, computer science, business, finance, or accounting preferred
- A strong understanding of the ITGC areas and the IT governance framework (COBIT)
- Experience with risk areas including, financial, operational, compliance and cybersecurity
- Ability to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sense of urgency and should be results driven.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership with focus on continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- One of the following professional certifications preferred: Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP); or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
