Job Description
The Role
Tesla is looking for a highly-motivated Manager to lead our Gigafactory Nevada factory spare parts program. We are seeking a high performing leader to coach and direct the performance of a Spares Planning and Operations team. The role will lead a team of supervisors, material planners, and technicians responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate inventory levels for the manufacturing spare parts warehouses and inventory control system.
Responsibilities
- Maximizing factory service at the best possible cost Drive for operations excellence: optimization of stocked MRO, value optimization (kitting, RMA, etc), warehouse optimization, etc
- Developing, transforming, and innovating our planning and operations processes in response to rapidly changing constraints in the factory environment
- Coaching and guiding the career development and talent pipeline for a team with diverse skills, experiences, and capabilities, and sustaining & growing that with sincere engagement
- Peer and process leadership across multiple sites and organizations
- All other activities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM or relevant field, proof of exceptional skills in related fields with practical manufacturing experience, supply chain or purchasing, or equivalent
- Track record of excellence in current and prior roles, demonstrable with metrics or KPIs
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, presentation, summarization, etc
- Exemplary people, organizational, project management, and escalation skills
- Able to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
