Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to educating students with diverse learning needs and will be responsible for creating an inclusive classroom environment. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to manage classroom behavior, and a deep understanding of various teaching methodologies tailored to support students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Educate students using a variety of instructional strategies that cater to different learning styles.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing positive behavior management techniques.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to ensure the best educational outcomes for each student.
• Provide literacy education and support in early childhood education settings.
• Utilize behavioral therapy techniques as needed to assist students in overcoming challenges.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary to meet individual needs.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding student achievements and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in a classroom or childcare setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured learning environment.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapy practices and literacy education strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.
• Certification or licensure in Special Education is required.

Pay: $42,633.00 - $48,567.00 per year
