Job description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 Special Education Teacher position is available at a school in Buda, TX, providing crucial support for students with diverse learning needs. This contract role spans the entire school year with weekday hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM. The teacher will deliver both push-in and pull-out services to a group of approximately 30 students, ensuring tailored instruction that fosters each students academic growth and social development.
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing individualized and group instruction aligned with students IEP goals
• Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to integrate services effectively
• Preparing, attending, and actively participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to address student progress and needs
• Monitoring student performance and maintaining thorough documentation for compliance and communication
• Adapting instructional materials and strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
Qualifications:
• Texas Educator License with EC-12 Special Education Endorsement and Core Subjects certification
• Proven experience with ARD meetings and comfort in engaging collaboratively in those settings
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to student-centered teaching practices and inclusive education
