The Loan Administration team powers all of the operations required to keep Valon running smoothly. From onboarding loans to handling insurance and processing payments, the Loan Administration team ensures that homeowners are continuing to get a first-class experience with Valon, all from behind the scenes.
About the roleWe are seeking an experienced people manager who will focus on processing speciality loans and products. Working to write procedures, execute on servicing requirements, and provide domain knowledge and expertise. This position will play an integral role in our operations. We are looking for a candidate with sharp quantitative abilities, strong attention to detail and the drive to ensure that our homeowner and investor funds are given the highest quality stewardship.
Responsibilities- Oversight of special loan products and processes including assumptions, successor in interest, deceased homeowners, partial releases, SCRA, and more
- Assist in creating policies and procedures for Special Products
- Manage assumption underwriting, processing, closing, and post closing functions
- Develop new process development to enable scaling and regulatory compliance
- Performs research and makes accurate and timely system changes in response to requests from investors, customer, or employees from other departments
- Execute and problem-solve in day-to-day operations for the servicing business
- Drive process efficiencies and improvements in operations
- Help inform product development and enhancements by synthesizing and delivering servicing process/platform feedback to senior leadership
- Review daily stats to help identify areas of opportunity within in our policy and processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years experience in special servicing OR 5+ years experience in mortgage related work with 2+ years of special servicing experience
- 1+ years experience in people management
- Experience creating and developing new policy
- Excellent attention to detail and time management abilities
- Excellent strategic and operational tactical skill
- Demonstrated attention to detail and quantitative strength
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to solve complex problems
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Effective communicator that proactively raises concerns to senior leadership
