Job Description

About Ruggable:

Ruggable is a Los Angeles-based, venture-backed, rapidly growing e-commerce startup that is disrupting the $7B rug industry and revolutionizing the market for residential rugs. Our patented 2-Piece Rug System allows you to remove the top layer of your rug and wash it in your home washing machine, offering an affordable, stylish and convenient solution for young families, pet owners, and busy individuals. We're a small, entrepreneurial team with big ambitions. We have a strong brand, established traction, and amazing advisors fueling our steady growth. This is an opportunity to get in at the ground floor and solve for complex challenges, while charting your own career.

Job Summary:

As the Special Projects Manager, you will play an integral role in developing our manufacturing and supply chain strategy as we diversify and mature our operations. You will be tasked with high-priority Operations initiatives that require creative problem solving and cross-functional coordination. In particular, you will initially focus on analyses involving strategic geographic expansion, cost optimization, and sourcing strategy. This should be a challenging yet rewarding role for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced growth environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Rapidly develop expertise in Ruggable's textile and home goods supply chain to drive strategic sourcing, warehousing  and logistics decisions
  • Develop business cases and scenario analyses for proposed changes to Ruggable’s operations model and provide go-forward recommendations
  • Leverage understanding of macroeconomics and global events to develop recommendations to optimize costs and mitigate operational risks
  • Cultivate close relationships with logistics and warehousing providers while continuing to fill the pipeline with potential new vendors and operating models
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Finance to keep efforts in sync with Ruggable’s standards and rapidly evolving product suite
  • Build project management plans and trackers to ensure successful and timely project completion
  • Manage other high-priority Operations projects in support of broader business needs

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting or operations
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and Powerpoint / Google Slides
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities simultaneously
  • Track record of seeing large projects through to completion, including project management, data gathering and modeling, and creative problem solving
  • Agility to flex between executive-level strategic thinking and very hands-on execution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Top-notch relationship management, particularly with external stakeholders

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, manufacturing, or related fields
  • Expertise in supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing operations
  • Expertise in home goods, consumer goods, and/or direct-to-consumer products
  • Experience building supplier relationships and negotiating contracts

Compensation:

  • $100K-$120K per year
  • An annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of role
  • Employer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K plan
