Special Projects Manager - Product
Job Description
About Stellar Health:
Historically, US Healthcare has relied on a fee-for-service reimbursement system where providers are paid based on the quantity of patient visits and procedures, rather than the quality of health outcomes.Â
At Stellar Health, we help primary care providers put patient health first. Our platform - a mix of technology, people, and analytics - supports providers at the point of care, delivering real-time patient information, activating practice staff, and empowering providers and care teams with incentives that reward the work they are already doing to keep patients healthy. Using the Stellar App, our web-based, point-of-care tool; practices receive a simple checklist of recommended actions that support the best quality care. Providers and care teams are then paid monthly for each action they complete, and Payors save money in reduced healthcare costs along the way. Â
Stellar is a US-based Health-tech backed by Top VCs (General Atlantic, Point72, & Primary Venture Partners) with an established product & proven operating model. We’ve shown that we make a real difference for physician practices and their patients. Our product began 2022 supporting over 500k patient lives; we’re currently at 750k and are fast tracking towards our milestone goal of 1M by EOY. We’re actively hiring and scaling our business to support Stellar’s continued growth and impact on our healthcare system. It's an exciting time to join the team!
About the position:
Stellar Health is looking for a Special Project Manager to join our Product Management team. As the team has grown quickly, you will have the opportunity to own a piece of product deliverables, shape our processes and culture, work directly with the product management and operations teams, and help us maximize the impact of the product management function. This is an exciting opportunity to leave your mark on a dynamic and highly-engaged organization.
Who will love this job:
- You are obsessive about execution and are known for improving every process you touch.
- You get things done and you love working in a dynamic environment; we move quickly, and it creates opportunities to learn about a wide array of topics.
- You understand, appreciate, and enjoy the responsibility and accountability that comes with being assigned high level ownership over projects and their success.
- You work well with cross-functional teams and are a stellar communicator. You thrive off being able to explain processes and requirements with minimal time and maximum clarity.
- You are known for your organizational skills and ability to quickly come up to speed on new domains.
- You are passionate about building solutions, not just tools, and lean into effective collaboration.
- You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy working with others to create structure in unstructured domains.
What you’ll do:
- Manage key processes, own key artifacts, and generally support the Stellar product management organization.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of activities that enables the product team to continue to grow while ensuring consistent, high-value meetings and work products.
- Be the point of contact for the product management organization with other internal teams including engineering, operations, and growth on specific topics.
- You will be focused both on managing the execution of product-management team activities (regular planning exercises, team definition and organization maintenance, culture-building activities, team retreat planning, managing interview panels, etc.) as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Design and roll out new processes that will improve Steller Health’s product management practices.
- Measure key performance indicators and analyze performance issues.
Note: This is not a traditional agile coach or SDLC-focused role, but there are likely points of intersection where the problem to be tackled is related to the software development life cycle.
You should have:
- At least 5 years of professional work experience with some experience in a product management organization.
- A proven track record of creating high-quality deliverables, completing projects on schedule, and creating stable processes.
- Experience working in a technology company or team, especially where the company is early-stage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in the form of designing processes to be followed by others.
- Specific examples of effectively multi-tasking and managing multiple streams of work.
Pay, Perks & Such:
We offer a full slate of benefits, including competitive salaries, medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverages, a 401k program, fully paid family leave and flexible vacation.Â
Note on COVID response:Â
In order to protect our wellbeing and safety, and to reduce the likelihood of impacts to our workforce, we currently require all employees, regardless of location, to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
If you would like to learn more about our COVID vaccine policy, as well as our response measures and hybrid work policies, please mention this when you speak with a Stellar Recruiter.
Diversity is the key to our success. Stellar Health is an equal opportunity employer and we are open to all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other legally protected status. Â
We believe that diverse teams -and the different identities, cultures, and life experiences our team members bring to the table- enable us to create amazing products, find creative solutions to interesting problems, and build an inclusive working environment.Â
