Special Security Technician - Personnel Security

• Provides professional and administrative support for the Headquarters, G-2, performing personnel security operations and assuring the implementation and compliance with security programs, policies, and requirements
• Pass and receive Visit Access Requests (VARs) for internal and external engagements requiring access to classified information, and notifying stakeholders of receipt or completion of their VAR submission
• Complete SSO portion of DD Form 2875 System Authorization Access Request (SAAR) Forms for access to systems and databases across all networks Directs, monitors, and maintains all G-2 Security Training requirements and data
• Tracks all gains and losses and maintains a Master Roster of all G-2 Personnel 

• Minimum Education: Graduate from Army or other DoD Security Training course or Associate’s Degree in an equivalent field
• Minimum Experience: Two (2) years personnel security experience with a fundamental understanding of personnel security operations, program policy requirements, and underlying IT security systems. Experience shall have been within the last two (2) years
• Knowledge of commonly applied personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies in carrying out a variety of support assignments
• Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology for collateral and sensitive compartmented information in personnel, information, and physical security disciplines
• Knowledge and ability for planning, recommending and preparing personnel access controls, physical protection of information and material, and other applicable security measures
• Knowledge of investigative scope and regulatory requirements for levels of security clearance, sensitive compartment information, and special access programs to assist in determining eligibility and action for derogatory information
• Knowledge of, and experience using Security Clearance Repositories, such as DISS and Scattered Castles 

• Must have active TS/SCI security clearance
