This position would be working on the ARCADE and Activity Adhoc teams within PCD (P&C Data). Both of these teams support critical, high business value, data pipelines and processes for our Actuarial and Servicing business partners.

Scrum Master Certification would be recommended within first year. Technical knowledge, CICD and DevSecOps background would be beneficial. Would need to know or learn the following tools: Jira, Planview, Tableau, IIQ, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities would include planning and organizing two week iterations for the line to meet business needs and priorities. Additional responsibilities available would include project management, financial budget tracking, defect trending, communicating completed or planned completed work to partnering teams, escalating issues, and coordinating various team interactions.

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. If a Sales job, Sales Incentives, based on performance goals are possible in addition to this range. The role may also be eligible for either short-term or long-term incentive plans based on business and/or position-specific results. Newly hired full-time associates receive a minimum of 18 days paid time off each full calendar year, pro-rated quarterly based on hire date. Newly hired full-time associates at higher job levels may receive additional paid time off. You will also receive 8 hours of Lifetime paid time off and 8 hours of Unity Day paid time off. The range for this role is listed below.

In Washington, the salary range for Specialist, Agile Lead is $80,000.00 to $156,000.00.

As an Agile Lead you will facilitate a robust, self-organized line responsible for building and/or enhancing software with high quality. You'll collaborate to deliver objectives through structured planning, and use appropriate software delivery practices (e.g., scrum, iterative, Lean) to continuously improve software delivery efficiency and quality. You will be key in guiding delivery from story card creation to implementation and participate in user communities to learn and implement optimal practices.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are more complex.
  • Analyzes and validates complex system requirements and existing business processes and information systems. Designs, develops and implements new programs and/or modifications of existing applications. Responsible for the more complex designs, prototypes and other methodologies for new and/or existing systems including the development and implementation of test plans and program specifications with various interfaces.
  • Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements complex software applications according to standards.
  • Defines and develops specifications and programs sophisticated technical modules, applications, prototypes and computer programs.
  • Assists in leading all aspects of applications programming and development including file design, update, storage and retrieval.
  • Evaluates and provides technical solutions to complex application development problems.
  • Coordinates activities of a project team and assist in monitoring project schedules and costs when requested.
  • Act as a technical programming consultant for small-scale projects that include multiple product lines and various interfaces when required.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, mathematics or related field is preferred.

Experience: Four years of experience in programming and systems analysis. Project management experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Ability to champion agile delivery over fixed practices, flexibility over rigidity, coaching, empowerment and influence over dictation and automation over manual processes. Confirmed software engineering expertise using Lean, agile and DevSecOps principles. Detailed understanding of agile technology frameworks and software engineering practices. Proven record of optimally leading, empowering and building engaged teams. Experience developing and maintaining strong business partnerships. Effective communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and decision making skills. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
