Specialist, Application & Database Support

CHANEL TECH is looking for an Specialist, Application & Database Support professional to join our Infrastructure Team in Piscataway, NJ. This role plays a leading role in supporting business critical applications and databases. SAP, Warehouse Management, Retail/POS, Dynamics AX with SQL and Oracle backend databases. This role interfaces with Chanel's Tech Center of Excellence (COE) and is a key partner for seamless Infrastructure team operations. Our ideal candidate will have a strong Enterprise Application Support experience, a comprehensive understanding and passion for technology and a desire for collaboration and teamwork.

About the role:

  • Lead daily operations for Enterprise Applications & Database related Infrastructure.
  • Performance analysis with Database and applications.
  • Coordinate with Application teams in solving day to day production issues.
  • Coordinate with Managed Services Vendors regarding Application and Database Servers, High Availability failover, Disaster Recovery and OS patches.
  • Strategize and build strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors, service providers.
  • Partner with CISO to ensure I&O embrace and apply security strategy.

What you will bring to the team

  • Strong Enterprise Application Technical support background with a good understanding of Database Administration.
  • Strong background of IT infrastructure including cloud based and on-premises environment.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning, and execution skills.
  • Solutions oriented mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Understanding and experience with tech integrations.
  • Experience with Azure Logic Apps (middleware integration) is highly desired.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix a plus
  • Management experience to partner with external MSP's and Vendors.
  • Strong work ethic, the willingness to go the extra mile to achieve important goals.
  • Knowledge and understanding around cyber security.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Work well as part of a team and across teams, to take on tasks during busier periods.
  • Embodies strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Position Logistics:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Enterprise Application experience required. Ten years preferred in IT industry.
  • Weekend/Off hours Production support availability required to support critical business functions.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, information systems or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience or demonstrated capability in leading transformational initiatives in IT.
  • Position is based out of Piscataway, New Jersey location.
  • Hybrid works schedule: 3 days onsite presence required (no other travel requirements)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $60,700through $130,000 Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
