Lead Developer

The ideal candidate will be a proven Technology developer with strong background in credit risk and the ability to assimilate into a dynamic, fast paced environment bringing vision, direction, and execution to future endeavors. The Incumbent must have strong experience in leading and contributing to large scale regulatory initiatives such as CCAR or SCCL. The candidate has strong understanding of Stress testing, Back-testing, PFE (Potential Future Exposure) and can work comfortably with Risk Manager on requirements or building used cases for testing purposes. The candidate must also have the aptitude to work with large data set and can perform analysis using SQL. and transformation in an agile environment. The ability to apply Technology solutions using agile to drive and deliver the banks' strategic vision is paramount. Murex knowledge and experience is strongly preferred. This is a high-profile role, which requires close collaboration with Risk Managers, Business Analyst, Auditors and Development team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build STP solutions which ensures trades and other related inputs required for risk calculation are processed with optimal performance, controls and accuracy
• Develop robust reconciliation tools to explain, verify movements and identify anomalies in risk metrics generated
• Able to work as a contributing member as part of a development Team to address complex problems and troubleshoot issues raised by Risk Manager
• Translate business requirements into technical specification and structure deliveries as MVP (Minimum Viable Product). Develop test cases to ensure code quality
• Design, test, and implement database objects and support SQL scripts using Microsoft SQL or Oracle. This includes but is not limited to stored procedures, views, functions and ETL
• Build solutions using microservices to optimize data collection used for risk calculations
• Maintain change control, testing processes and technical documentation as system modifications are made

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant concentration
• 7 - 10 years of experience in software development required
• Working knowledge of Murex
• Delivery-focused, result-oriented leadership style that can effectively motivate and cross-functional teams to deliver on aggressive goals and timelines
• Strong interpersonal skills - demonstrate a positive attitude, able to work effectively as part of a project team and foster team collaboration
• Experience building distributed high-performance, high-availability systems
• Hands on experience in Core Java, Spring, Oracle 12g, PL/SQL, Angular, RESTFul webservices, Maven
• Experience in Python is preferred
• Ability to comprehend complex technical and logical concepts and adapt quickly to change
• Superior organizational skills; prioritization, planning and time management
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry with focus on risk is required
• Strong communications skills; written and verbal
