Role: Specialist Business Analyst

The ACH (Automated Clearing House) application is a legacy batch / online processing and delivery system that provides for the distribution and settlement of electronic debits and credits. It is an inexpensive transfer of funds. The system objective is to process customized client payments that include settlement and selected reporting in a timely efficient manner while meeting the established NACHA windows.

ACH is seeking a Business Analyst who has worked in the financial services industry and possesses in-depth knowledge of payment services. The candidate would join a fast paced and growing organization, being responsible for working closely with product managers and tech leads to assist in a variety of tasks. Candidate must be able to work with a growing team of technologists in a fast paced and highly ambiguous environment bursting with new technologies.

As an ACH business systems analyst, your role is to identify and investigate business and system requirements in support of complex payment systems. This candidate will be working closely with both business and technology key stakeholders with support of the more senior Business Analysts.

Self-starter that manages multiple initiatives, including problem solving, analyzing business process, executing the collection, elicitation and recording of business requirements (Agile user stories) for strategic or tactical development efforts.

• Evaluate and analyze activities creating process workflows, screen mock-ups, use cases and descriptive documentation that supports the end-to-end enhancement lifecycle process
• Consult with Product/Business to define necessary system enhancements to implement new or update existing features and process
  • Review and evaluate requests for enhancements
  • Create user stories, workflows, use cases, mockups
• Coordinates system change process from requirements through implementation
  • Integrate Agile testing and quality assurance to ensure customer satisfaction
• Ability to conduct activities and perform tasks related to unit, System Integrated and UAT testing. Review test scripts
• Production releases
• Perform root cause analysis, identify defects/bugs and recommend course of action - effectively use complex analytical interpretive and problem-solving techniques
• Understands Payment solutions and apply knowledge to data analysis, processes improvement and problem resolution
  • Collaborating with ACH business partners to identify and implement appropriate solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• Eight + years of experience in business analysis required.
• Proficiency in Jira/Confluence/MS Office
• Proficient in writing user and system stories and supporting documentation - business process and system workflows
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are required
• In depth understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Proficiency in Jira/Confluence/MS Office
• Prior knowledge of ACH processing, especially NACHA, and/or The Clearing House is desired
• Solid knowledge of the Payments Industry - Previous experience in TCH Real Time Payments / Zelle / ISO 20022 is a plus
