Job Description:
If you love the Amplify CKLA program and supporting teachers and leaders with strong professional learning, then you should apply for the Specialist of Professional Development Design, K-5 ELA (contract) position.
Your job will be to support the Amplify CKLA Professional Development team in designing, customizing and copy editing session and website resources to support teachers and leaders in their implementation of Amplify CKLA.
We are looking for people who are passionate about reading and writing; who can manage multiple projects; have a strong attention to detail; who are highly organized; who understand adult learning principles; who are tech savvy and know how to use the Google suite of products; and who are team players.
Responsibilities of the Specialist of Professional Development Design, K-5 ELA:

• Create and design session materials (slide decks, Participant Notebooks, handouts, etc.) for in-person and remote professional development sessions for teachers and leaders to support strong program implementation of Amplify CKLA
• Train and support facilitators through the creation of onboarding materials
• Support the K-5 PD team with ongoing resource updates, team documentation, and platform updates
• Create resources aligned to Amplify branding guidelines
• Copyedit session resources, including slides, slide notes and participant resources
• Update team work plan with current project status
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience teaching and/or facilitating Amplify CKLA professional development sessions
• Experience in instructional and graphic design
• Proven knowledge of current ELA best practices, Common Core ELA Standards, and adult learning principles
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Demonstrated proficiency with technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office, Google Applications, video conferencing tools, etc.
• Fluent in oral and written academic Spanish
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field or comparable experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience teaching and/or coaching Amplify CKLA or Amplify ELA
• Experience designing in-person or remote professional development sessions for teachers and/or leaders
• Understanding and compassion for the role of the teachers and leaders
• Experience working with diverse student populations (English learners, SPED, Gifted/Talented, etc.)
• Proficiency with WordPress and Adobe
• Demonstrated client/partnership management experience
• Master's or Advanced Degree in Education

Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $30.00-$40.00.
