The Job

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Specialist, Risk and Compliance to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to industry regulations, standards, and best practices. This position involves assessing and mitigating risks, developing and implementing compliance strategies, and maintaining a robust risk management framework.

Your Day-to-Day Role

• Risk Assessment and Analysis:
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern within the organization.
• Analyze and evaluate the impact and likelihood of identified risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for risk mitigation.
• Compliance Management:
• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure the company's compliance.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to meet compliance requirements.
• Regularly monitor and update policies to reflect changes in regulations.
• Audit and Monitoring:
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
• Implement monitoring mechanisms to track compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to departments to address audit findings.
• Training and Awareness:
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on compliance and risk management.
• Foster a culture of compliance awareness and ethical behavior throughout the organization.
• Incident Response:
• Develop and maintain an incident response plan for potential compliance breaches.
• Lead investigations into compliance incidents and recommend corrective actions.

Your Work Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in risk management and compliance, preferably in the SaaS industry.
• Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of our Englewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximize collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
