We'd love to talk with you if you bring:

• Ability to deliver extraordinary outcomes and help lead teammates to do the same
• Experience preferred with Flutter/Dart, Java, Springboot, APIs, Jenkins, or AWS
• Understanding of mobile application design patterns, UI/UX design, modern services architecture & integration patterns as well as the ability to quickly understand new & emerging technologies.
• Experience and appreciation for working in a mature product operating model, leveraging End-to-End Agile practices and DevSecOps
• Comfort with being empowered to figure out the best way to solve the dynamic and complex problems you'll be faced with
• Strong problem solving skills
• Willingness to work in and promote a collaborative, trusting, and psychologically safe environment where team members can speak freely, offer opinions, respectfully disagree, admit mistakes, and give/receive feedback

As a Software Engineer, you will focus primarily on providing high quality, efficient technology solutions to business partners by crafting new software applications or modifying and/or supporting existing packaged or custom-built applications. In this capacity, you'll analyze, code, configure, test, debug, document and maintain applications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, solutions, develops, tests, debugs, documents and deploys software according to standards in an agile environment.
• Uses DevSecOps practices, tooling and techniques.
• Drives continuous improvement and learning through ongoing training, practice and innovation.
• Manages medium to large project priorities, deadlines and deliverables proactively.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to a Technology Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Completion of undergraduate studies in computer science, management information systems, or other related degree. Technology experience or non-traditional technology certificates can be substituted for an undergraduate degree.

Experience: Four or more years of analysis and technology experience.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proficiency in one or more programming language such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle. Proven ability to tackle complex business and development problems. Ability to thrive in a team environment. Insurance/financial services industry knowledge a plus.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.
