The mission of Talent Development team is to empower and support our people to learn, grow, and reach their full potential. The team is chartered to inspire and equip leaders to build and lead a high-performing team, consult with business to help enable their talent, and help employees have exceptional learning & growth opportunities and experiences.
This role is part of a Talent Development & Engagement team that focuses on functional learning for various teams across the organization to help build their learning strategy, determine priority areas, and identify ways to measure success.
The Talent Development & Engagement team at Samsung Semiconductor Inc. (SSI) is looking for a dynamic Learning & Development talent who has the desire to create impactful programs offered to our employees and has experience leading end-to-end L&D program design and execution. This professional will have a passion for adult learning, corporate training, project management and facilitation. This person will partner with a variety of business groups including engineering, sales and marketing, and other business functions and help develop our portfolio of learning.
Critical skills include being comfortable working in ambiguous situations and driving a proposal, plan, and execution across multiple L&D programs and business groups.
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose, CA headquarters 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

- Facilitate in both large and small group settings, virtually and in-person.
- Conduct needs assessments to determine key areas of focus and the optimal learning approach for business functions.
- Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to assess the needs of their client groups and craft appropriate solutions for targeted learning needs.
- Own end to end learning programs for Sales & Marketing, and Research & Development to help teams collaborate, innovate and grow.
- Create instructional materials including training content, participant guides, and interactive learning tools.
- Track and measure the impact of learning programs against goals.
- Optimize learning programs based on feedback and analytics.
- Help improve team dynamics and collaboration across the organization.
- Source and effectively manage vendor partners in service of creating custom, high impact programs.
- Determine when a buy or build strategy makes the most sense for the learning opportunity.
- Create eLearning content and instructor led trainings using current L&D technology.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ in Learning and Development preferred.
- Experience in instructional design, and adult learning principles.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in end-to-end program design and project management.
- You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.
- An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.
