The Treasury financial specialist will participate in the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting process, annual and strategic planning process, and monthly/quarterly forecast process for the Corporation's balance sheet and net interest income. Oversees and coordinates Treasury key departmental initiatives including risk management, audit reviews, regulatory examinations and review of policies and procedures.
Major Duties• Assist in the monthly/quarterly/annual reporting process for the Corporation's balance sheet and net interest income. Support in the preparation and analysis review of the financial results relative to prior year, prior month, forecast and/or Plan with a focus on key business and market factors driving financial performance.
• Contribute in the preparation for the quarterly earning calls to support to the Chief Financial Officer and Investor Relations in communicating actual net interest income results and drivers of future expected results, including relevant balance sheet and market interest rate drivers• Help in the production of monthly/quarterly/annual presentation slides for the balance sheet and net interest income results that are presented to the Management Group, ALCO and Board of Directors.• Participate in the annual net interest income planning process, including CCAR, and coordinate with the business units to establish the Plan for the total corporation.• Assist in the monthly/quarterly net interest income forecast and review of expected results with the Treasurer and business unit managers to ensure the most accurate forecast.• Support the Treasury business unit management reporting, including revenue and expense planning and analysis.• Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests to support the Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and other senior management of the organization.• Provide reporting updates for key initiatives and review routine reporting for accurate representation of Treasury function.• Coordinate risk management/compliance programs and serve as centralized contact.• Assist in internal audit reviews and regulatory examinations, providing materials and addressing concerns.• Coordinate review of policies, procedures, standards, as well as refresh of legal agreements (ISDAs, MRAs, GMRAs).• Coordinate Treasury All Partners quarterly meeting.
Knowledge/Skills:• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required• In-depth analytical skills are required, and familiarity with interest rate, liquidity and credit risk a plus• Knowledge of financial markets and the industry is required• Highly flexible and adaptable to change• Technical skills / systems knowledge: HFM, Cognos/nFORM, TM1 is required, familiarity with QRM and PowerBI a plus
Experience Required:
A College or University degree is preferred with 5-10 years of relevant work experience. Related Industry qualification (e.g. CFA, CPA) is preferred
