What you will be doing

Under general direction of the District Director (DD), the Sales Executive is responsible for sales and account management of existing primary and secondary customers. This includes the sales of Cencora products and solutions, customer retention, contract compliance, solution implementation, and new business with an emphasis on channel access. The Sales Executive Specialty Remote is also responsible for leveraging classes of trade, key product segments and Cencora channel options for proactive customer access discussions.

The Sales Executive is also responsible for ensuring a high level customer experience in a way that differentiates them from the competition. It is our competitive advantage.*** This role will be office or home based, communicating with customers remotely through phone, Microsoft Teams, and email. Must have the ability to travel to visit customers on an as needed basis. Additionally, must be willing to travel to events such as conferences, national and district sales meetings.

  • Meets or exceeds specific business sales targets set in cooperation with the District Director for revenue, profit and margin growth with existing primary and secondary customers in the specialty pharmacy, home infusion, and alternate care pharmacy segment.
  • The right candidate will manage their accounts with an entrepreneurial spirit and own the business growth of their specific customer assignments (territory).
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure continued business and successful renewals and expansion of Cencora product portfolio, access and solutions.
  • Meets business targets related to the sale of specific solutions and product segments. Cencora's suite of offerings includes, but is not limited to Specialty solutions, SmartSource Access, plasma derivatives, PRxO Generics, and Accelerate/Elevate Provider Network, etc.
  • Monitors and analyzes reports and data to measure profitability of specialty products and implements strategies to ensure continued success of that growth.
  • Achieves monthly sales/activity goals established in conjunction with department leader. This may include but not limited to customer sales call volume, pipeline activities, and team collaborations with other key internal associates.
  • Is responsible for taking secondary customers to primary by executing sales expansion using Cencora's Suite of Offerings.
  • Partners across functional and organizational lines by engaging and working directly and collaboratively with subject matter experts during the sales process. Organizational agility is key to the success of this role.
  • In cooperation with the District Director, create an annual strategic plan for achieving your business goals, ongoing utilization of sales reporting tools to identify and analyze opportunities to expand current customer business. Continually maintains and inputs account activity/results information and tracks interactions in the CRM and other appropriate sales management tools,
  • Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the specialty, home infusion and alternate care customers and markets through the use of Cencora training, District Director coaching, researching current industry trends.

Requires a demonstrated history of successful execution of consultative selling skills in a diverse customer marketplace resulting in improved customer sales. Broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education are required. Normally requires five (5) plus years of sales experience. Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, home infusion and alternate care segments is desirable.

  • Excellent customer service skills to address potential issues through channels such as Customer Care without compromising selling- focused conversation
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change, and successfully monitor multiple tasks without sacrificing quality or timeliness of work.
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong time management skills; ability to schedule customer appointments in advance

$55,100 - 81,290

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
