Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spectrum Manager III with a strong background in tactical communication spectrum management. The ideal candidate will have the ability to engineer, design, and execute spectrum management activities for tactical communications systems, demonstrating proficiency in overseeing the entire lifecycle of medium-to-large systems. The Spectrum Manager III should possess specialized knowledge and experience in spectrum management within the law enforcement environment, with a proven track record of generating, tracking, and reporting spectrum allocation effectively.
Responsibilities:
Tactical Communication Spectrum Management: Execute spectrum management activities for tactical communication systems, demonstrating expertise in engineering, designing, and implementing solutions.
Lifecycle Management: Oversee spectrum management throughout the entire lifecycle of medium-to-large tactical communication systems, ensuring efficient and effective allocation of resources.
Law Enforcement Environment: Apply spectrum management skills within the context of law enforcement operations, adapting strategies to meet the unique needs of this environment.
Documentation and Reporting: Develop comprehensive reports documenting spectrum efforts and status, providing clear and concise information for stakeholders.
Government Compliance: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of spectrum-related programs, policies, and procedures of entities such as GMF, NTIA, and DHS. Ensure compliance with federal government spectrum management standards.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in tactical communication spectrum management. The following experience levels are applicable based on education:
- Bachelor's degree: 3 years
- HS/GED: 9 years
- Associates: 7 years
Specialized Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of spectrum, GMF, NTIA, and DHS Programs, policies, and procedures.
Reporting Skills: Proven ability to develop detailed reports to document spectrum management efforts and status.
