SPG CDF Banking Associate
Job Description
The candidate will be a member of the Corporate Debt Finance team with primary focus on origination and execution of broadly syndicated ("BSL") and middle market ("MM") CLO transactions. This role encompasses the following key responsibilities:
- Execution of broadly syndicated and middle market CLO transactions with responsibility for managing the entire deal process including partnering with ABF Sales & Syndicate on distribution strategy and execution, working directly with investors on stipulations and information requests, leading the rating agency process and working with legal on the preparation of legal documents
- Working closely with CLO issuers and relevant equity investors to drive deal execution by providing market color, structural thoughts and providing a high level of expertise on the entire CLO execution process
- Work closely with senior members of the team to assist in the origination efforts across BSL CLOs and MM CLOs
- Execute asset backed lending facilities including both broadly syndicated CLO warehouses and middle market lending facilities

- 2+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience in CLOs, structured products and/or leveraged credit particularly focusing on deal execution rather than origination
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven client relationship skills as well as extensive product knowledge and technical expertise
- Outstanding problems solving and decision-making skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration and adaptability are important
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving landscape
- Ability to prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner
- BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance or economics or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, or military experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for FINRA Series 79 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
- Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
