Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Spot Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding processes and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Spot Welder, you will be responsible for performing precise welding tasks to ensure the structural integrity of components while adhering to safety standards and quality control measures. Responsibilities • Operate spot welding machines to join metal parts according to specifications. • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to understand welding requirements. • Utilize micrometers and calipers to measure components for accuracy before and after welding. • Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment, ensuring optimal performance. • Collaborate with team members on construction sites to complete projects efficiently. • Perform quality checks on welded joints to ensure compliance with industry standards. • Use power tools as needed for preparation and finishing tasks related to welding. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Skills • Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding and plasma cutting. • Experience with press brake machines for metal forming tasks is a plus. • Strong understanding of ductwork installation and fabrication processes. • Ability to read technical documents, including schematics, with attention to detail. • Familiarity with using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers accurately. • Competent in operating power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
