SQL Data Developer
Job Description

As a SQL Developer on our Corporate Claims Team, you'll work with Data Analysts and the Corporate Claims Team to help build and maintain our Claims data reporting systems by assisting with balancing, reconciling, and correcting data issues as they arise each month. In addition, you'll also focus on project work, monthly reporting management, and ad hoc reporting and analysis. The primary objective of this team is to ensure data is provided to business leaders and executives across the entire company.
Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL code for database applications

Perform unit testing and debugging to ensure code quality and compliance with project requirements

Collaborate with other developers and team members to optimize database performance and functionality

Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team productivity

Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
-
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve PL/SQL development processes
Technical Knowledge and Understanding:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
-
Proven experience as a PL/SQL Developer or similar role
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and work effectively within a team

Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL programming
-
Proficiency in Oracle Database and PL/SQL development tools
-

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Experience:
-
Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative or business-related field of study.
-
In lieu of a quantitative degree, a bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of two years of analytical work experience.

In lieu of a degree, a minimum of three years of analytical work experience.
