Location: Tata Ramanujan Intellion Park, Chennai.

Full-time permanent role.

We are seeking a SQL Database Administrator who will be responsible for the performance, security, and integrity of our database systems. The ideal candidate will manage our database environments, ensuring the systems are always available and optimized for user access and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain robust SQL databases in accordance with organizational requirements.
• Oversee database performance tuning, security management, and data backups.
• Implement and maintain database security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Plan and implement migrations and upgrades while ensuring minimal downtime.
• Develop documentation for database configurations, processes, and maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with developers and IT personnel to develop and support database solutions.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a SQL Database Administrator.
• Strong proficiency in SQL Server administration and database performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of database security principles and backup/recovery strategies.
• Experience with SQL scripting and automated task solutions.
• Knowledge of industry regulations regarding data handling.
• Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS, Azure) or virtualization.
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) are a plus.
