SQL/ETL Developer with Java (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

As an Application Developer, you will collaborate with other developers, product managers, and QA to build a system for managing private equity investments. You will be part of a team responsible for implementing the full private equity investment lifecycle, using modern technologies including cloud infrastructure and blockchain, and supporting clients with a global scope. This will involve a mix of supporting existing logic and clients in production, while having many "greenfield" chances to create and implement new functionality in the system. We are looking for well-rounded developers who work well in a development team using iterative development methodologies to build robust, high-quality production systems. We require a dedicated development resource to develop and support our conversion technical processes.

Work- Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.

Primary Responsibilities:• Perform data analysis and database management• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines, and repeatable processes• Advocate a DataOps mindset, insisting on Test-Driven Development, IaC and collaborative working• Assist the team in various phases of development and the maintenance of multiple products and systems• Design ELT/ ETL database design patterns, document and provide support• Assess change impact on live systems and processes• Contribute to the next generation of products• Participate in DB engineering architecture process

Qualifications: • 3+ years of lead and hands-on experience in T-SQL development, Data Warehouse and Data Marts solutions• 2+ hands-on experience developing in an object oriented language, e.g. Java• 2+ years' experience working with JavaScript.• Strong technical leadership skills with a proven record • Extensive experience with T-SQL, implementing stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, data dictionaries; knowledge of normalization and RDMS, data integrity• Experience in Extracting, Transforming, and Loading (ETL) data from Excel, Flat File, other sources by using BCP/Python/SSIS. • Previous experience working in a cloud environment (AWS, Google, Microsoft)• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills; strong communication skills• Experience using code management tools, for example GIT or BitBucket• Experience in creating tests; unit testing, assumption testing

Like to Have • Knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud architecture, Jenkins, and deployment processes• Experience with migrations from on-prem to cloud• Financial Industry experience is a plus• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
