TransUnion is looking for a high-performing Senior Accounting Analyst to join the Neustar accounting team. This role will work with peers and other groups in the preparation of financial results for the Neustar divisions in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley. This position will have the opportunity to evolve as TransUnion continues to integrate processes from recent acquisitions.
What You'll Bring:
Experience

• Demonstrated history of achievement in prior roles
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Masters in Accountancy, MBA and/or CPA are strongly desired
• 5-7 years of accounting experience (mix of public accounting and industry a plus)
• Demonstrated success in operating within a matrixed environment

Impact You'll Make:

• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial results in accordance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley, which will include preparing journal entries, supporting work papers, financial statement variance analysis and resolving reconciliation variances
• Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability
• Participate in day-to-day accounting activities related to M&A integrations, systems implementations, and business initiatives
• Ensure internal controls are documented and operating as expected; assist in designing and implementing new internal controls as necessary
• Analyze and summarize account information and trends to support monthly and year-end financial close
• Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures
• Address internal and external audit inquiries and requests
• Support business partners by addressing general inquiries on accounting guidance, policies and processes
• Seek out opportunities to design and implement technology-driven process improvements
• Performing other accounting duties as required or assigned
