Sentara Healthcare is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Senior Accountant

Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift

Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).

Job responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, research, and adjust financial statements for management presentation. Creates relevant work papers, schedules, and reconciliations.
  • Review and comprehend financial indicators and results of operations, significant operational statistics, variances from budget and historical results.
  • Research technical accounting and financial reporting issues, and assist with ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
  • This position assists in preparation and coordination of year-end audits.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration will be considered in lieu of required experience.
  • Required: 1+ years of Accounting experience
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience preferred
  • Will regularly work with other Accountants within the team
