What We'll Bring:
Neustar, a TransUnion company is looking for a high-performing Senior Accounting Analyst to support the process of timely and accurate accounting of the company's commissions and revenue streams. This position will require administration of sales commissions payments, and the development and execution of associated analytical procedures to support the appropriateness of results. This position will have an opportunity to expand into additional analytical reporting areas including revenue analytics along with supporting other transformational project efforts and Sarbanes-Oxley controls. As Neustar integrates processes with TransUnion, after a 2021 acquisition, this position will have the opportunity to broaden responsibilities and provide enterprise-wide support over time.
What You'll Bring:
Experience

• Demonstrated history of achievement in high-visibility, high-impact roles
• A Bachelor's degree is required; MBA and/or CPA designation strongly preferred
• 4+ years of accounting/finance/auditing
• Demonstrated success in operating within a matrixed environment

Skills

• Must have familiarity with sales commissions business processes
• Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards
• Ability to understand and implement new processes and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Impact You'll Make:• Develops relationships and provides support to Finance Leadership and Sales organization• Performs commissions processing functions (loading input data to comp system, generation of pay file)• Executes monthly commissions accrual journal entry and supports associated accounting results• Assists in commissions system migration efforts where applicable• Assists with revenue reporting processes as assigned• Develops and executes reliable commissions analytics for all of US Markets• Executes month end reviews of actual results and investigates variances to expected results, provides variance explanations.• Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; prepares reports; creates accounting memos; supports research of complex revenue arrangements, makes presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations.• Assists with the development and implementation of standardized analytical tools and reporting as well as ad hoc reporting when needed.• Works with other team members and leadership team on various projects as assigned.• Works to identify areas for improvement, propose solutions, and implement associated improvements.
