Be part of a team that develops highly complex software within HoneywellAerospace. You will be an active and integral member of the Next GenerationAvionics team, partnering with Engineering Leaders, Product Managers, and otherstakeholders to ship services and tools that greatly increase the productivityof our users to deliver and integrate their applications in complex avionicssystems. You will also generate innovative solutions, tryingdifferent and novel ways to deal with problems and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a Sr Advanced Software Engineer to join our development team in building the next generation Avionics SaaS tools to enable our users to build and integrate their critical applications within their aircraft systems.

• The product you will be designing and developing is a distributed, event-driven, microservices platform.
• You will leverage your skills to develop features within a containerized and decoupled microservices architecture.
• You will be responsible for the design, build, test, and deployment of new features leveraging DevOps continuous delivery practices.
• You will be coached and mentored by senior engineers to you grow your software engineering skills through relevant and challenging on the job opportunities.
• Develop and test new features
• Learn and use continuous delivery skills including the writing, and integration of Unit, Functional, Contract tests and Canary deployment strategies.
• Diagnose and address problems

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or Computer Science
• 7+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role

WE VALUE

• Understanding software development lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to deliver on objectives
• An understanding of working within an Agile Software Development Lifecycle
• Experience with .Net, Blazor framework and NuGet packages.
• Experience with container runtimes and container management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes & Helm
• Hands-on experience working on Linux systems
• Experience working on tools like Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo/Jenkins
• Skills on cloud environment programming & automation, Azure and OpenShift experience is preferred
• Well versed in CI/CD methodology and tooling
• Understanding of Security Concepts and Security tools integration
• Technical Understanding of Cloud Concepts
• Experience with Azure and Kubernetes in a production environment
• Experience with agile or iterative development methodologies to delivering SaaS products
