Overall Purpose

This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing and maintaining analytical methods and models for demonstrating the performance of the enterprise as it relates to change efforts. In addition, this role will support organizational and enterprise strategy and ensure alignment of the metrics to enterprise and program outcomes. This role will also engage in supporting from a business perspective the applications that manage our portfolio functions.

Essential Functions
  • Working with change leaders, recommend, design, and implement analytics frameworks to track the effectiveness of change programs and implement new measurement models at the appropriate levels, as well as generate supporting datasets where required.
  • Maintain the necessary models and data sets, leveraging appropriate tools to analyze and report as efficiently as possible.
  • Understand the metrics being measured and business outcomes associated with them. Analyze the resulting data to identify opportunities, deviations, or risks, making recommendations for actions based on understanding what the metrics are driving towards.
  • Works with stakeholders to understand their needs/requirements and ensures the portfolio tools meet the needs of all users
  • Works with the Portfolio Performance Reporting Analyst to understand portfolio data and reporting needs and how portfolio tools can be leveraged to meet those needs
  • Supports the applications/platforms that manage the portfolio functions.
  • Generate daily, weekly and/or monthly reports as defined in the frameworks.
  • Coordination with other data or analytics teams where crossover opportunities may exist.
  • Provides support in the general planning, research and analysis activities of the department. Supporting the data acquisition and reporting needs of change efforts across the team.
  • Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data


Minimum Qualifications
  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years direct/ progressive experience in Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, or related field
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging large datasets to generate actionable metrics.
  • Ability to conduct data analysis to identify trends and tie back to the expected business outcomes.
  • Proven experience utilizing data analysis tools, including mastery if excel and ability to leverage other BI tools.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, identify opportunities, and recommend solutions based on data driven analysis.
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrices environment and manage to priorities
  • Background and drug screen


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with portfolio applications (Planview, Rally, Clarity, JIRA, etc.)
  • Experience working with agile delivery models and related analytics
  • Experience or working knowledge in change management/ project management practices
  • Operational exposure or experience to project/ portfolio/ program management concepts
  • Experience working with supporting agile / SAFe models and corresponding metrics.
  • Financial acumen relating to budgeting and planning.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
