Sr Analyst, Derivatives
Job Description
As a Derivatives Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for processes that involve the handling and processing of routine transactions for trade capture, trade and cash settlements, reporting, valuations, trade and valuation reconciliation, set up and maintenance of static data, pricing and exception resolution. The transactions are complex as they require you to have requisite knowledge while operating within a large set of rules. You will display full ownership for one or more processes, reports and/or procedures. In this role, you will be analytically and procedurally competent and represent the team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
The Impact:
- Manages multiple client queries and issues, ensuring their timely resolution
- Reconciles cash and security collateral holding
- Provides support and builds relationships with business partners and brokers/counterparties
- Investigates and resolves margin call disputes
- Trade processing and settlements of ETD trades on NT applications
- Ensures Day to day SLA & Quality parameters are met. Checklists are prepared and submitted to the supervisor daily
- Ability to handle, escalate & resolve queries in a timely manner
- To perform route cause analysis of errors and suggest/ implement controls in consultation with the Supervisor/ Manager
- Provide training sessions to new joiners and existing partners in the team
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Analytical with excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of financial services, asset management and/or investment operations
- Detail oriented
- Works with a sense of urgency
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are required
The Ideal Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Previous Financial Industry Operations, Asset Management and/or Investment Operations experience
- General knowledge of Derivatives
- Experience with exception resolution
- Possesses good communication & analytical skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues, and having the determination to follow through. Escalate issues as appropriate
- A client focused approach
- Possesses working knowledge of MS Office
