Job Description Summary
Insurance policy forms matter, the coverage matters so ensuring accuracy through technology and process is essential! If you're a good communicator with a keen attention to detail and have the ability to interpret, apply and explain technical information and pride yourself on the accuracy of your work, we want to know more about you!

As a Senior Analyst, you'll work on a variety of moderate and complex forms development assignments with limited direct supervision. We'll count on you to partner with business and technology partners to create and process revisions to current forms, develop new forms for new programs, coordinate proof reading and tracking.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Researches state and company standards to make revisions in forms. When necessary, contacts state insurance departments to clarify or confirm current state requirements to revise different type forms.
  • Reviews, analyzes and interprets state statutes and regulations, existing company forms (company database) related state and industry bulletins and pertinent program filings.
  • Develops new forms, revisions or amendments to existing forms for all admitted and non-admitted company forms.
  • Researches and assigns forms numbers and follows the development of forms through to typesetting, proofing and printing. Responsible for accuracy of information on forms database.
  • Reviews forms that receive objections from state departments of insurance and makes changes.
  • Develops new and revised program policy forms based upon consultation with Product Compliance, review of existing or similar forms and Forms Committee standards.
  • Presents new or revised forms to the Forms Committee when needed.
  • Participates in developing company policies and procedures and provides input on all forms-related issues.
  • Helps train and mentor new Forms and Filings staff.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: High school diploma or GED required; college degree desirable.

License/Certification/Designation: Completion of general insurance courses such as IIA or CPCU, preferred.

Experience: Typically, five years of property/casualty insurance experience; two years of forms development experience, preferred.

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Proven knowledge of underwriting and marketing principles and techniques. Knowledge of admitted vs. non-admitted compliance requirements. Proven research ability. Ability to analyze the effects of insurance laws on company forms. With or without reasonable accommodation: the ability to communicate interpersonally with individuals and groups in person, via phone, e-mail, fax and letters, to all levels internally and externally, of the organization. Presentation skills. Mentoring skills. Advanced personal skills, e-mail and internet experience.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. May require occasional work on weekends or after normal work hours.

Nationwide utilizes a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Colorado is$45,000.00 - $69,000.00

Nationwide pays based on a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Ithaca, New York is$45,000.00 - $93,000.00
