Sr Analyst - GIS Business Insights (Remote)
Job Description
As a Senior Analyst, you'll provide support in all phases of the financial and operational measurement life cycle. You'll partner with internal customers in determining data and information needs and in figuring out uses of information to aid with decision making. You will interpret and examine information needs, craft ad hoc and ongoing reports and maintain internal databases for related functional information.
The ideal candidate will Have:
• Bachelors degree in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field
• 4+ years of experience working with large customer and/or prospect databases with product, geographic, demographic data; pull/Interpreting information to develop and maintain ad hoc and custom reports
• 4+ years of experience with data visualization tools and problem solving to present insightful recommendations to help with the use of the information.
• Experience with ESRI, ArcGIS Pro, Python, SQL and Tableau tools preferred
• Strong Analytical/Statistical skills
• Strong written & verbal communication skills

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, produces and maintains ad hoc and custom reports for functional area information needs. Interprets information contained in reports as requested. Utilizes various data access tools to pull information for reports and solutions.
- Plans and manages execution of work, participates in planning and delivers on commitments. Provides support for creating, packaging and communicating financial and operational measurement work using appropriate statistical and visual solutions and mediums for relevant insights and applicable data visualizations.
- Retrieves data from internal and external sources and data files in order to keep internal databases current and usable. Exports information to external sources.
- Assists with delivery of financial and operational measurement work to the appropriate area of the company as assigned.
- Helps build and use business intelligence applications using statistical, database and/or general programming languages and tools. Assists in using technology for data management, report automation and/or ad hoc reporting for end users.
- Applies appropriate quantitative techniques and methods to help resolve business problems.
- Participates in special projects, teams and continuous improvement of department processes through ongoing initiatives.
- Presents insightful recommendations, presentations, reports and documents to help with the use of the information.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director and does not have direct reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics or related field with post-graduate studies preferred.
Experience: Four years or more of related experience with data visualization tools and problem solving; working with large customer and/or prospect databases; working with product, geographic, demographic data to build understandable and relevant measures.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of business policies and procedures, customer service concepts and practices. Familiarity with business terminology, processes, regulatory and compliance issues is desired. Understanding of and working knowledge to conduct data management and extraction of data for reporting. Strong communication skills for interactions with others. Ability to understand business processes and the data produced by them. Ability to work under tight time constraints. Capable of developing distinctive and understandable data visualizations.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel, non-standard or extended work may be required based on project needs.

Nationwide utilizes a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Colorado is$51,000.00 - $78,500.00
Nationwide pays based on a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Ithaca, New York is$51,000.00 - $106,000.00
