Description:

The US Consumer Operational Excellence team is the First Line of Defense (FLoD) team with a mission to enable business growth and objectives while maintaining a strong control environment. The Operational Excellence team acts as a Center of Excellence (CoE) within the business, and assists in the identification, measurement, monitoring, and management of Operational Risks related to the business products and processes. Operational risk is the risk to the current or projected business objectives and resilience arising from inadequate or failed internal processes or systems, human errors or misconduct, or adverse external events.

The Sr. Analyst Operational Excellence - US Consumer Global Premium Products and Benefits will support in driving excellence in the application of the Operational Risk Framework (e.g. comprehensive risk assessments, implementation of preventative and detective controls, and making pragmatic decisions to resolve issues). The role will also collaborate with colleagues from various organizations to drive key programs and deliverables e.g. Product Management, Compliance, Technology, Risk, and Global Servicing Network.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide support over all Operational Excellence program requirements for the US Consumer Premium Products and Benefits business.
  • Support team on large-scale Operational Risk programs like New Product Approval/Assessment, Issue Resolution and Process Risk Self-Assessments
  • Identify process risks and develop mitigating controls and/or control enhancements for these functions
  • Help implement the next generation of control testing and monitoring - use automation, key risk indicators and set thresholds for review or action for different risk types.
  • Identify trends, themes, tendencies that indicate emerging operational risks by analyzing data and trends in relevant metrics, loss event data and external events.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years experience in operational risk management, product development, audit or compliance a plus
  • Ability to understand large complex processes and the ability to document accordingly
  • Strong interpersonal skills / ability to develop relationships with colleagues across multiple business functions
  • Great Teammate and self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple workstreams
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills as well as being a self-starter and motivated
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and independently
  • Proactive, quick learner, results-oriented and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
