The Team
This role will be part of the global total rewards team. This team is responsible for compensation, health & welfare benefits, retirement benefits and relocation. The team members are situated regionally within the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
What you will do
Clarios is a privately held organization that is preparing to become an independent, stand-alone company in the future. The total rewards programs and processes must be evaluated and optimized to align with the business strategy and priorities of this dynamic new company. Reporting directly to the VP Total Rewards, HRIS and Payroll this role will be charged with driving critical total rewards projects designed to improve market competitiveness, process integrity, and employee experience for various total rewards programs. The types of projects will cover the full range of the total rewards space (e.g. job evaluation, compensation structures, annual incentives, international mobility, benefits, etc.) and encompass elements of both program design and process execution, offering the incumbent a unique opportunity to gain comprehensive exposure to the full spectrum of total rewards programs.
How you will do it
- As a key member of the total rewards team, partner with HR colleagues to understand challenges and pain points related to compensation, benefits, and other reward programs and related issues in attracting, motivating, and retaining high quality, diverse talent
- Act as team member of key design projects (example: short- and long-term incentive plans)
- Lead process efficiency projects (example: annual salary planning and incentive payout processes)
- Support US benefit team in analyses involving complex data calculations (example: pension and retirement calculations) and where appropriate developing tools to automate calculations
- Participate in the analysis and review of the global job grading process and underlying local compensation structures to assess fit for Clarios needs. Support the implementation of any agreed upon changes
- Validate the effectiveness of compensation and benefit programs, ensuring market competitiveness, enterprise/business objectives are achieved and ability to attract/reward/retain top talent
- Drive operational excellence and innovation in all areas of responsibility
- Remain current on industry trends, best practices, compliance, new/progressive processes, etc. that enable Clarios to achieve higher levels of organizational excellence
What we look for
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business or related field required. Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in Total Rewards preferred
- Thoughtful and creative thinker with the ability to generate ideas and execute on them
- Able to evaluate, design and recommend compensation and benefit programs based on market assessment and business strategy
- Excellent strategic, analytic, and financial skills. Demonstrate grasp of both the art and science of total rewards program design and administration
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate future trends/consequences and create innovative strategies
- Strong interpersonal presence, one who possesses the depth of experience to comfortably interact with stakeholders at varying levels
- An enterprise-wide thinker, with a lens on how decisions made within one site or unit may affect others across the business
- Strong interpersonal communication skills including conflict resolution, team management and presentations
- Driven self-starter with a strong attention to detail and ability to operate autonomously
- Has a mindset of continuous improvement
- Demonstrated experience providing coaching to Business leaders and Human Resources
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong partnerships and influence resources outside one's direct responsibility
- Ability to travel up to 5%, based on business needs
