Responsible for monitoring cash collections for large, complex customers by processing invoices, collection, customer follow up for resolving missed payments and other issues

Your key responsibilities

• Monitor all outstanding balances and design various collection options to negotiate collections.
• Contact customers to secure payment and motivate them to promptly pay invoices
• Research, reconcile and resolve customer deduction including pricing discrepancies and sales tax
• Obtain sales tax exemption certificates from customers and maintain the sales tax exemption certificate software (Sabrix)
• Assists in the preparation of monthly customer status meetings by discussing at-risk and slow paying customers.
• Receive and maintain new customer credit applications, D&B reports for each credit application and approval documentation.
• Responsible for the addition of new customer terms and limits into the ERP system.
• Partner with customer service and sales to resolve contested items or recommend appropriate action.
• Propose credit/rebill or adjustments to customer accounts to ensure accurate outstanding balances.
• Evaluates held sales orders daily.
• Assists with the preparation of select month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, and support Finance team with special projects and audit requests.
• Monitor and collect outstanding customer balances.
• Reconcile customer accounts to ensure proper aging.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of AR experience in a fast-paced corporate environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks and providing information on a timely basis
• The individual must be highly detail oriented with strong computer and communication skills
• Effective planning, communication and writing skills also required
• Experience with ORACLE ERP or another large ERP systems a plus
