Sr Associate, Software Engineer

The Sr Lead/Associate Software must have Agile experience specially working on Banking and Financial data related projects. To be successful, candidate must have financial services knowledge, strong communication skills and should be able to work well as part of a team, but also carry responsibility for individual's work. Ability to work on multiple projects at a time, and quickly understand and incorporate new technologies.

Must have experience with modern software development, AGILE, and production support. Must be hands-on developer and be able to assist team with application development tasks. Must strive to continuously develop new and improved technical capabilities. Applicants must possess clear oral and written communication skills and demonstrate flexibility while working on multiple projects and initiatives concurrently. Must have experience in conducting data analysis with expertise in different business and IT data groups, application wide analysis and proposal of solutions. Assembles, analyzes, and represents customer business data requirements. Performs feasibility data analysis, scopes project, recommends alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization.

• Financial industry data source experience is required. Financial reporting data domain knowledge is required (Balance sheet, Income Statement, Financial planning & Forecasting, etc.....)
• Write and debug complex SQL queries from databases (such as Oracle). SQL experience is required for data analysis efforts.
• Work with SME and other Business Analyst to build new End-to-End solution, lead tech team ensuring solutions meet all requirements, including operational SLAs.
• Address and triage escalated issues, at off hours from time to time due to 24x6 operational nature
• Conduct sessions with Business and vendor in order to report and troubleshoot issues.
• Lead operational escalations from incident origination to close, plus any root cause, remediation, and prevention
• Report incidents to management and stakeholders during incident lifecycle
• Improve operational stability via automation where possible, and raise design changes to data analyst, SMEs and/or architects, as well as opportunities to application/service managers.
• Ensure all documentation such as data mapping, data lineage, functional spec, and any other technical documentation are detailed and up to date
• Have necessary understanding of Datawarehouse concepts like various layers in Datawarehouse, dimensions (master data), reporting etc.
• Individual needs to be able to independently dive into the project, no in-depth training. Fully understand the gaps, reach out to the appropriate people in the organization and create their own requirement gathering meetings.
• The Business Analyst, the closest to the analysis and on the appropriateness of the data requirements, will coordinate with various business Product Management and Data Governance on final requirement decisions.
• Needs to be able to gather, communicate and write the appropriate level of requirements to be turned into finalized documentation appropriate for developer coding and tester test case/script documentation.
• Strong data analysis skills are required to learn and understand the structure of the required data within the corporate data sources so that it can be documented and informed to other stakeholders.
• Liaise with business users to understand requirements. Needs to be able to gather, communicate and write the appropriate level of requirements to be turned into finalized documentation appropriate for developer coding and tester test case/script documentation
• Strong communication skills required to gather requirements from source contacts and socialize the written documentation with IT and Product Management for approval
• Along with data understanding, strong writing skills are required to document detail data design requirements specific to source and target data integration. Strong aptitude to analyze data feeds/data elements and attributes for the user stories creation in an agile environment.
• Business Analyst should be able to perform as the leader in coordination of project requirements and stakeholders needs (source contacts, developers, testers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Program Managers)
• Able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines
• Working experience in any ERP product such as SAP, Anaplan, Oracle OFSAA , Oracle Hyperion or PeopleSoft EPM is highly preferred
• Work some off hours as demanded by projects, operations, and need of the off-shore team and stakeholders, such as release, testing and/or critical bug resolutions.
