Sr AWS Java Developer

This is a Non-Employee Contingent Worker Role providing services for TIAA's family of companies and will be employed by TIAA's preferred 3rd Party Supplier. As a Non-Employee CW, perform a variety of moderately complex business planning, support, and project-related duties. Demonstrates an exceptional standard of quality and holds themselves accountable to achieving excellent results.

This role will sit onsite, likely in a hybrid capacity, at the location(s) listed in this posting.

The anticipated term of this engagement will be 47 months. This term could be extended based on company business needs.

CW-IT Applications Developer IV

Develops, implements and assesses specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assessing the technical viability of emerging products and technologies.
• Working with developers and infrastructure specialists to test and evaluate new technologies.
• Participating in the development of business cases and obtaining approvals for capital expenditures.
• Monitoring and analyzing new technology product performance and resolving issues regarding potential improvements or modifications to complex situations, as needed.

This is a Hybrid role based either in our Iselin, NJ or Charlotte, NC Hub locations 3 days in the office required

Required Skills :

• Experience with designing and implementing Java/Spring based micro services on AWS
• Experience with the design and developing java based application which contains high volume and low latency.
• Work in agile environment and perform development, deployment, testing, monitoring and operational excellence.

Preferred Skills :

• 8+ years of design and programming experience with Java/Spring/REST/Microservices on Linux platforms using in Gradle/Maven
• Experience in developing/deploying solutions to AWS Cloud (S3, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudWatch, SNS and other AWS modules)
• Hands of experience in UI technologies such as Angular/ReactJS AWS platform
• Working knowledge in cloud data stores including S3, PostgreSQL and/or Amazon RDS;
• Perform test automation in a test-driven development environment.
• Strong understanding of Software engineering principles
• Acts as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and troubleshooting problems.
• Experience developing reusable components for the team and the wider organization
• Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
• Understand and learn the domain skills - Asset Management and Trading application

Base Pay Range: $74.17/hr. - $80.38/hr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
