Sr Back End Developer- Integrations

About the position

This is a full-time position, focusing on the back-end development of Memorable's main product. As a member of the integrations team, your primary responsibility will be to ensure smooth and efficient integration of various external systems and services with our product. You will play a crucial role in expanding the capabilities of our platform by seamlessly connecting it with external APIs, databases, and other third-party tools.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the product manager and the web development team, to understand the integration requirements and implement robust and scalable solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end code that facilitates data exchange and communication between Memorable's product and external systems.

Responsibilities

• Integration Architecture: Collaborating with the architecture team to design an integration framework that aligns with industry standards and best practices. This includes defining patterns, protocols, and technologies to ensure secure and efficient integrations.
• API Development: Implementing RESTful APIs and web services to expose Memorable's functionality to external systems. You will be responsible for designing clear and well-documented APIs that allow seamless data transfer and communication.
• Data Mapping and Transformation: Understanding the data models and structures of various external systems and mapping them to our internal data model. You will handle data transformation and ensure data consistency and integrity during the integration process.
• Authentication and Security: Implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms for external systems to access Memorable's APIs. You will work closely with the security team to enforce industry-standard security practices and protect sensitive data.
• Error Handling and Monitoring: Developing robust error handling mechanisms to ensure smooth error recovery and fault tolerance during integrations. You will also set up monitoring tools and logs to track integration performance and identify any potential issues proactively.
• Performance Optimization: Optimizing integration workflows and code to enhance performance and minimize latency. You will identify areas for improvement, conduct performance testing, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data transfer and processing.
• Documentation and Collaboration: Creating detailed technical documentation, including API specifications, integration guides, and troubleshooting resources. You will collaborate with other teams, such as technical writers and support engineers, to provide comprehensive documentation and support for integration-related inquiries.

Minimum skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL server tools
• Experience designing and implementing robust RESTful APIs
• Experience developing integrations with third parties data APIs
• Good foundation in software architecture and optimization
• Good foundation in database management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with core AWS technologies
• Experience working with Python
• Experience working with social media APIs
