Role: Sr BI Developer - ThoughtSpot, Alteryx, R

Duration: 9 Months

Location: Beaverton, OR (Remote)

Note: Remote work is ok, but prefer local candidates because this role needs to build cross-functional relationships. - At some point, may require a trip to Beaverton, OR.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Advanced data tools skills expertise (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Alteryx), and a deep understanding of data (Snowflake, Teradata) with advanced skills to build complex data connections
• Experience with data extraction and analysis technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, QlikView, SQL or similar tools
• Ability to build, deploy, and troubleshoot highly complex dashboards, reports, and workflows
• Ability to work well with others and manage ambiguity, demonstrate flexibility while achieving key priorities, effective communicator, ability to build strong cross-cultural/functional relationships across the business
• Good understanding of supply chain and business operations
• Experience in leveraging data visualization and dashboarding techniques to make complex data more accessible, understandable and usable to drive business decisions and outcomes
• Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypotheses and make recommendations required
• Ability to collaborate with key partners to understand/identify requirements, drive knowledge into action and support data driven decision making
• Strong ability to lead and/or work on cross-functional teams and provide project management support
• Experience in definition of new measures, and the translation of business goals into quantitative metrics and reporting
• Ability to work independently requiring minimal direction, execute large projects following established guidelines/procedures and take initiative to explore and solve problems
• Ability to teach, coach, and mentor; simplifying complex data concepts to easy-to-understand explanations for non-data fluent team members
• Proficient with Excel; experience with a statistical package is a plus (such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.)

Experience:

• 5 years of advanced relevant data experience developing complex dashboards, data visualizations and leveraging advanced self-service data tools and sources

Responsibilities:

• Lead the discovery of requirements, build, deploy, and troubleshoot complex data connections, workflows, visualization reports, dashboards and insights for Asia Pacific & Latin America (APLA) supply chain to enable business insights leading to value-add decisions, driving performance and accomplishment of annual goals
• Build strong relationships with APLA partners including Seasonal Execution, Omni Channel, Logistics, Strategy and Capabilities team, leading conversations and projects with deep data insights as a data subject matter expert
• Build strong collaborations across the internal Client's data team to leverage established enterprise tools and data solutions, representing the APLA supply chain team as a data subject matter expert
• Project manage and deliver large visualization projects with multiple business stakeholders on firm deadlines
• Lead development and ongoing management of data tools and processes, establishing metrics to monitor plans and communicate critical reports
• Work independently and take initiative to identify, explore and solve problems
• Document and communicate systems/analytics changes to the business, translating complex functionality into business relevant language
• Keep current on data visualization technology and best practices
• Be a teacher, mentor, and coach to data team members

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering and/or related field.
• One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 3 yrs; Masters + 4 yrs; Associates + 6 yrs; High School + 7 yrs exp
• Advanced quantitative degree a plus
