Essential Responsibilities

• Remain cognizant of state-of-the-art in area of expertise for Mechanical and Electrical BoP in Hydro Power Plants;
• Globally responsible to optimize and efficiently manage the engineering workload, resources, engineering quality, adherence to engineering practices & processes across all projects;
• Responsible for engineering deliverables of Balance of Plant - Electrical, Mechanical packages for the projects or program within schedule, budget and quality (right at first time);
• Responsible to establish and maintain required Engineering technical know-how rules, DesignPractices etc., Also ensures that team respects the defined rules and guidelines;
• Ensures Reliability/Safety/Cost and implement safety in design;
• Will manage & develop the team in identifying their career path and assuring development;
• Ensures right level of technical support being provided to other stakeholders (Project, Supply Chain, supplier engineering, Construction and Commissioning);
• Strongly pursuing for quality, innovation and process improvement within function.

• This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Functional Management.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with approx. 15 years of relevant experience;
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Portuguese
• Experience in Hydro Powerplant is desired
• Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Ability to work in a global matrix team environment.
