ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Brand Marketing team, we focus on our consumers' behavior, and create experiences to build their connection to our brand. Whether it's media strategy, brand/product storytelling, content creation or partner activations, the consumer is at the heart of everything we do. And we continue to stay true to our brand, even as we evolve to meet the demands of an ever-changing landscape.
Our Brand Marketing team is looking for a Sr. Brand Marketing Manager, Mountain. Within this role you will be responsible for long-range strategy development for our Hike, Snow Sports and Trail Running categories. This will include deep integration with our consumer insights function, collaboration with our product teams to establish category positioning, and communicating our strategy to the larger organization. From a short-term seasonal perspective, you will be responsible for initiative planning, objective setting, key marketing style selection and brief building to guide and align the direction of our creative, media and brand experience teams. You will oversee category seasonal plans end-to-end to ensure alignment with long-range and seasonal category objectives.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Working closely with our product merchandising, regional and commercial teams, drive the process, communication and decision-making framework that enables seasonal brand plans to succeed
- Ensure seasonal brand plans are built to serve the full consumer journey (awareness, consideration, purchase, loyalty, advocacy)
- Establish and maintain external partnerships with agencies to develop actionable strategic briefs and ensure alignment across channels.
- Manage internal and external partners to activate and deliver seasonal plans.
- Define how the seasonal strategy and tactics will be measurable and add value to the business and the brand's KPI's.
- Manage the brand marketing budgets
- Inspire creative teams to create stories, concepts and content that ladder up to the brand strategy
YOU ARE
- Deeply familiar and personally experienced with outdoor activities across hiking, snow sports or trail running. Outdoor industry professional experience is not required but is a bonus
- An excellent brief writer, with demonstrated experience crafting briefs that drive effective creative and communications plans
- Adept at building cross functional relationships and partnerships across regions
- Entrepreneurial with the energy to try new things and fail fast in the pursuit of brand elevation
YOU HAVE
- 8+ years of brand management experience within a global marketing organization
- Broad working familiarity across varied marketing functions with the skill to leverage the capabilities each function (strategy, creative, brand experience) brings to the table
- Experienced in developed brand and category positioning and the strategic frameworks that identify category white space, target consumer, brand/category value proposition, and initiative timelines
- Overseen seasonal campaigns end to end - from briefing through measurement and reporting
